Tonight Matthew is working late and so I picked Oliver up from Daycare at 4:30 and we read three books, then played with blocks, then skyped with Lexi, had a bottle and a half of milk, went into his bedroom to play and push the laundry basket around, then two more books in the rocking chair with the light out and set him in his crib. He rolled over, put his thumb in his mouth, and not a peep when I shut the door. Today was one of those easy nights. Sure I didn't get dinner, but hey.
Periodically now Oliver will just start standing on his own. It's a much harder milestone to notice because he's always standing against something, then at one point you look and notice he's not holding anything. Then two seconds later he plops on his bottom.
